Parent and Community
Involvement program

The Parent and Community Involvement Program seek to involve parents in school and classroom through planned activities as a means to improving the scholastic level of children.

This program is based on the premise that parents are the first educators of their children. The more they know about their children's education, the more apt they are to extend the learning at school into their home life.

In CRI partner schools, families are encouraged to participate in school and classroom activities. Schools designate Family Coordinators to promote involvement. These coordinators are heads and deputy heads of partner schools.

The Parent & Community Involvement Program is implemented by inviting parents to their children’s school on regular basis and involving them in school activities. The parents are invited to come into their children’s classes to assist the teacher:

  • By telling stories
  • Sharing their knowledge
  • Demonstrating and sharing their professional skills
The Parent and Community Involvement Program enlist the aid of parents in educating their children. It also gives parents a sense of achievement, opens communication channels between parents and teachers and creates opportunities for parents to help their children do better in school.
